Field notes are created and shared by ECPN pedagogists working in communities across British Columbia.
Field notes are neither pedagogical narrations nor learning stories. They are incomplete accounts of some of the work of ECPN pedagogists in early childhood centres. Field notes relate minor moments that take place with educators and children that invite response. Field notes create opportunities for discussions that might spark creative pedagogical processes. We offer these notes with the hope of beginning pedagogical and curricular conversations that create possibilities beyond developmental discourses and concerns.
