This three-part Conversations I (that took place on June 16, 23, and 24, 2020) explored Dr. Cristina Delgado Vintimilla's living pedagogies and the question of living well with others (see BC Early Learning Framework, 2019).
Dr. Cristina Delgado Vintimilla is a pedagogista within the Italian tradition and an assistant professor in the Faculty of Education at York University. Until recently she was the pedagogista at Capilano University Children’s Centre.
Pedagogists Courtney Neidig and Samantha Wylie engaged Delgado Vintimilla in dialogue to explore questions:
What necessitates living pedagogies?
What might these pedagogies propose and generate?
What conditions might need to be nourished in living pedagogies?
Through these dialogic conversations, Neidig and Wylie co-created a space to ponder these questions and propositions with Delgado Vintimilla and Capilano University Children’s Centre manager Sara Sutherland. These conversations are proposed for educators to collectively imagine curricular invitations that living pedagogies might offer.
